'Swagatham' also Suffered Release With Deficit

Stated to be the best family entertainer of this year, the film 'Swagatham' has actually started as a sinking ship. Right at the onset, the film began with a loss of 1 crore but then the film makers and distributors were on the hope that they would make up with the collections of the film. This in itself is actually a very immature way of planning a film considering experienced people like Jagapathi Babu and Dasarath in the helm. Now, the film has not been doing that well as expected and commercially the box office seems to be going with some nominal collections.

Thanks to Jagapathi Babu that at least this is happening, his image has been able to attract the lady audience to the theatre and considering the amount of sentimental overdose that is there in the film, it will surely appeal to the housewife and neighbor next door in our state. Also, the fact that there is no other big movie running around, this has turned into a blessing for the film and public is getting into the theatres when nothing worthwhile to do.

However, this must be an eye opener to all other film makers and perhaps the people involved in this itself that planning is important for making a film and waiting for returns after you have gone half way through is not anyway to make a mark in the industry.
