Spies Find It Difficult To Read Chiru's Mind

The Congress government has let loose its Intelligence network to keep a tab on the activities of film actor Chiranjeevi who is planning to float a political party. Personnel of the Special Branch of the Hyderabad city police are collecting data and information on the persons who are meeting the film actor and whom Chiranjeevi was going to meet and where. The data is sent to the police commissioner who sends it to the DGP's office. And finally the Intelligence report is placed before Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy for perusal and necessary political follow-up action.

It is a common practice to keep a tab on the movements of rival politicians. But this is the first time in Andhra Pradesh that the Intelligence is gathering information about a film personality.

Though it is a routine exercise for the SB department, collecting information about a film actor is something difficult task. Generally, reporters pass on information to SB constables and officials immediately after media briefings and important party programs and functions. But in the case of Chiranjeevi, no media persons are invited. The Intelligence department, at best, knows that so and so had called on Chiranjeevi or Chiranjeevi had met so and so. More than this, they cannot collect information on what has transpired between Chiranjeevi and his close associates.

And yet the State government was to know what's going on in the mind of the film star, whether he is going to float a political party or whether he will take the support of disgruntled elements in all political parties to build up his political career.
